Separately from analytics cookies, we may use PostHog’s cookieless web analytics to measure aggregate website traffic (for example pageviews and approximate unique visitors). That mode does not store PostHog analytics identifiers in cookies or local/session storage. Identity for cookieless measurement is derived on PostHog’s servers using a privacy-preserving hash.
