Delete your account

Last updated: October 23, 2026

This page explains how to delete your boterview account (the “boterview: Personal AI Tutor” app on Google Play and the App Store, and the boterview website), and what happens to your data. The service is operated by Nathan Brunner.

Delete your account in the app

1.Open boterview and sign in.
2.Open the menu on your profile picture and choose Settings.
3.Under Delete account, select Delete my account.
4.Type DELETE MY ACCOUNT and confirm with Delete permanently.

You can do the same on the website, in your account settings. Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.

If you can no longer sign in, email nathan@boterview.com from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.

What is deleted

•Your account: name, email address, profile image and sign-in connections.
•Your courses, lessons, challenges and learning progress.
•Your flashcard decks, notes, practice and Socratic Chat sessions.
•Files you uploaded (documents, images and audio) and text extracted from them.
•Gems, energy, quests, badges, onboarding answers and notification settings.
•Active subscriptions bought on the boterview website (Stripe) are cancelled.

What may be kept

•Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are managed by Apple or Google. Cancel them in your Apple or Google account settings; deleting your boterview account does not cancel them.
•Records we must keep by law (for example billing and tax records held by our payment providers) are retained for the period the law requires.
•Copies in encrypted backups may persist for a limited period until those backups are overwritten. Remaining personal data is deleted or anonymized.
